Mildred, Alleyne McCabe and I went down to the train at 5:45. Our train was a little late so we had to wait. McCord Taylor and James Bryant were at the depot and we talked to them. Our train left about 6:30 and it took us about two hours and a half to get there. It was an awfully tedious trip and we were pretty well tired out. Mary Cobb and Jack were at the train to meet us. We drove home and had tea. Mr. and Mrs. Stofer had gone to church and we missed them but they came home about 9. It did seem lovely to see them and everything looked so natural. About 9:30 Mrs. Thompson came up and I certainly was glad to see her. She wanted me to go home and stay all night with her so Jack took us down. He came in and talked to us for a little while and then we went to bed.

We got up early and had the best breakfast. We talked a while and then Mrs. Thompson ordered the carriage and I drove up to Mary Cobb's to get the girls. We went for a lovely drive along several of the pikes. We came home about 10:30 and then went downtown. We hurried around and met lots of people. Saw Dr. Thompson and Mr. John Stofer and Arabella Bogie. Met Tabb Bassett, Fred Morris, Hunt Priest and several others. We went home in time for dinner and after got dressed to go to church. They were having a protracted meeting and Mrs. Stofer was very anxious for us to go. Just as we were leaving Julia Priest came to call and I was awfully sorry to miss her. After church Mary Cobb took Mildred and Alleyne driving and Mrs. Stofer walked home with Mrs. Thompson. Mary Cobb came back shortly after five and took us for a drive. Then we went home and got dressed. After tea Mr. and Mrs. John Stofer came in for a while. I was awfully glad to see them and do like Mr. John so well. Harry Ringo and Tabb Bassett called later and we had a real nice visit with them. I like Tabb fine and think he is terribly attractive. Jack came in later with a box of candy. Jack and I weren't awfully good friends this time. He wouldn't pay me any mind at all. We all went to bed about 12. I slept with Mary Cobb and Mildred with Alleyne.

We got up early as usual and after breakfast fooled around. I fussed with Jack till church time. Arabella came up for me to go to church with her and we skipped off from the rest. She is the sweetest old girl and I'm so glad she is a Chi. After church we went for a little walk and then home for dinner. After dinner dressed and Mary Harriet and Julia Morris came to see us and they are just as sweet as ever. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stofer and the baby came up for a while. The baby is undoubtably the sweetest child I ever saw. Shortly after they left a whole bunch came and we had quite a reception. Harry Ringo, Cecil Green and Louis Judy were the only ones I knew but I was mighty glad to see them. Cecil surely is attractive. Tipton Young and Anderson Bogie were the other two that came with them and I'm quite crazy about Anderson. Arabella and Kellar Greene came later. Kellar is the sweetest old kid and sure can have me. They all staid about an hour and then Mr. Haberson, Mr. Mrs. _ , Mr. Moss and Mr. Hopper came. I liked them awfully well and Mr. Moss has a beautiful voice. He sang quite a few songs for us. After they left we went out in the kitchen and had tea. After tea I went to church with Mr. and Mrs. Stofer and left the girls to hold down the beaux. I never did quite get so much religion but it pleased Mrs. Stofer and that was the main thing. When we got to church we found we were too early so Mr. Stofer and I went down to see the baby. Miss Betty was just putting him to bed and he was too cute for anything. She went to church with us. It was hotter than love in there and I was mighty glad when it was over. Kellar was waiting for me at the door and took me home. I sure could love that man with a little persuasion. When we got home found a whole houseful of company. Mr. Moss, Mr. Haberson and Harry Ringo were there again. Fred Morris, Mr. French, Mr. Gaitsgell, Mr. Woods and H. Priest were there. Kellar and I talked for a long time and then Hunt and I hit it up together. I'm crazy about Hunt, he is so entertaining and has the dreamiest eyes I have ever seen. Pelina came in for a while and she's as pretty as a picture and Jack brought Garnet over. I always was crazy about Garnet. They all left about 10:30 and we were just going up to pack our things when Stanley Brown strolled in. He really is pitiful and staid till 12 o'clock. I never was so disgusted with a person in all my life. Was might glad when he left. We packed our suit cases and went to bed about 1.

We had to get up at 5:30 in order to catch our train but was might glad to hear that it was late. After breakfast we sat out on the front porch and took some pictures. Mrs. Thompson came to say goodbye to us and also Tipton Young. We left about 9 and I surely did hate to say goodbye to them all. Undoubtably they are the sweetest people and sure do appeal to me. When we got to the depot found Jack, Mr. Moss, Mr. Haberson and Fred Morris there. Jack and Fred went with me to check our suit cases. Just as the train came in Hunt got there. Sure was glad to see him again. It did seem awful to say goodbye to the boys. They had been so nice to us and I got real crazy about them.
